Instablogged, Spring Edition

Getting blown away in the hurricane chamber at the science center.
Beckett gets serious about digging for fossils.
Someone made a mistake at the puzzle factory.
He's so cute even when he's so sick.
Soup for the sick kid.
The basement rock wall is now operational.
Field of flowers.
"Peek-a-boo. See you too." Felix shows off his silly side.
He won't let me cut this broccoli.
Testing out the new sleeping bag.
Felix hits maximum cuteness.
At urgent care with Felix on Mother's Day
Dandelion day.
From Beckett to Felix "I love you Felix even though you make trouble."
Paige and I take blog shots and head to BEA.
"Me not tired at all." He doth protest too much, methinks.
Swinging.
Book-O-Beards
Spontaneous hose fight
At the dentist Beckett climbed up into the chair and said, "This is going to be so relaxing."
Feeling pretty happy about joining the pool.
We sure love summer playgroups.

Beckett is 6

I love this picture of Beckett with our traditional birthday banner.

Presents from Grammy and Grandpa.
Presents from Grandma Dorothy and Papa Val.

And the best present of all, the LEGO X-Wing.

And, as an appendage, here's Felix with his potty training prizes, a mini LEGO X-Wing and Chase the policebot.

Happy birthday, Beckett.

Preschool in the Springtime

Spring is beautiful and so busy. May always seems to be jammed packed with school celebrations and end-of-the semester grading.

Every year the preschool puts on an extravagant Mother's Day celebration. It's fun to see everyone dressed up and the kids to excited to treat their moms.

Beckett wore his yellow sweater vest, his favorite color

After lunch with the kids, they provide the moms with entertainment and then give them gifts.

Hats Off to Mom:
My mom wear many hats in our family. My mom is a teacher. She taught me to pump my legs on the swings.
My mom is a magician. She can always find things. Once she found her cell phone.
My mom is a sanitation worker. When she sees my room she says, "can you please clean up the LEGO room?"
My mom is a coke. I love when she makes biscuits. They're really good!
My mom is a chauffeur. She drives me to the playground.
My mom is a nurse. She always makes me feel better when I'm sad.

The next big preschool event was preschool graduation. The kids put on a really cute presentation with a bunch of songs they had learned.

We certainly had some ups and downs with preschool. We love Ms. Judy and Ms. Kathy and are happy that they loved Beckett too.
Onto Kindergarten.

Annapolis and Easter

Around Easter we took a day trip to Annapolis.

The first thing we did was go to this little museum that is dedicated to the years between the end of the Revolutionary War and the signing of the Constitution (1783-1787). During these years, Annapolis was the capitol city, and the museum has an exhibition dedicated to presidents that served during the Confederacy period.

Next we went over the the Maryland State House.
This room has been reconstructed to its Victorian Era appearance (1876-1905)

Next we went over to the Naval Academy.
The kids really liked the Maritime Museum.

Onto the Easter Festivities:
We had an egg hunt with our friends.
