Easter 2006

JoLee and I ate Easter dinner at the Hermes' house this year. They hosted an Easter egg hunt in which JoLee gladly participated. Here she is with one of her finds.

I know it's been awhile, but here are some more pictures from Easter:

Abe took Nate for a ride on the 4-wheeler.

The following are pictures of the Hermes' kids and their guests hunting for eggs in their idyllic backyard. I think Nate did a really nice job with these shots.

Showing off my candy necklace with John.

The Hermes got baby goats for Easter. They are so cute. They jumped up and down the stairs in the backyard, and the kids feed them with bottles. Here's what they look like.

Zephyr's Average Day

Not to make you think that we are crazy about our cat, but she's pretty entertaining. Here's how she spends an average day.

Playing: here with her favorite mouse and a box.

Exploring: Zephyr gets into all sorts of crazy spots. She knocked off several books when she decided she was ready to leave the book shelf.

Hiding and Pounching: Zephyr was a HUGE fan of all the packing material that came in our Crate and Barrel boxes.

Working: Ok, maybe not - more like distracting us from our work.

Sleeping: After all of that activity, Zephyr looks pretty bushed.

Moving

Last Saturday, Mom, Dad, Brooke and I joined forces to move some stuff from the old home to the new home. Enjoy...

Traditions

JoLee and I don't have many traditions yet, but maybe this can be a start. Last year we visited the local farm between general conference sessions on Sunday. The first weekend in April happens to be the first opening weekend for the farm. We saw pigs, cows, chickens, and lots of goats.

House Keys

I wish I knew how to post the picture but the best of news is that today we got the keys to the new house! Val suggested that I take a few things up (I think he had in mind some boxes or something significant). But I decided to just take a few special items. I took a picture of each of the family members and put them in the entryway nook. It already looks like home. It is warm and light. We really love it.
We have about a week of work before this house will have all the corrections to it. Then we pack and go. Hope it's that simple. We feel so blessed and very excited. Thanks to all of you for your encouragement and excitement .
